The nationally accredited project management qualifications we deliver to the engineering industry as Engineering Education Australia’s wholly-owned RTO have been updated to reflect current best practice and industry standards.

In October 2020 a new version of the training package for our project management qualifications was released via industry and education authorities so we have worked to update and improve our suite of courses to match the new industry best practice requirements.

What does this mean?

The nationally accredited qualifications we deliver have changed from:

While the core subjects you study in our qualification deliveries have not changed, the units of competency have been updated.

We have also refreshed the elective units to include one on communicating with influence.

Communicating with influence has been identified as an important skill for engineering project managers, as they deal with complex projects in a rapidly changing environment and a wide range of stakeholders outside the engineering world. It is also well recognised that communication is a key area where projects often fail so the addition of this unit to our qualifications aims to enhance project performance.

The new qualifications will be ready for the our next intake, starting 21 June 2021.

Students starting from June will receive a BSB40920 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice or BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management qualification upon successful completion of the 12 month program.
